Why this Blog?

A place where I can lament the changing times; for eccentric comments on current affairs and for unfashionable views, expressed I hope, in cogent style; also occasional cris de coeur largely concerned, I regret to say, with myself.

610: Thank You BBC4

Recently here I referred in my post An Obsession: The Carrington Saga, to BBC4's screening of the excellent Scandinavian police thriller The Bridge which concluded a week ago.

Showing splendid prescience in anticipating withdrawal symptoms amongst the viewers, BBC4 has filled the 9:00 - 11:00 spell on Saturdays with a Belgian detective series called Salamander.  Last  night I watched the first two instalments and consider the programme a worthy replacement, although of course only time will tell.

Thanks BBC4.

Until the next time
