Why?

I am here for, I suppose, a variety of reasons, these may be deduced from the header on this page.

In trying to find something positive about this self-indulgence, I came to the conclusion today that there are probably plenty of people who are putting a "brave face" on things whilst inside they confront failure, loneliness, lack of achievement, inadequacy etc. Perhaps a few words from a fellow-sufferer might be a little help?

I'll confess that this is a selfish effort, but nevertheless if you have found like me, life despite having on paper a degree of promise has turned sour, then I would be content (happy is the wrong word) to hear from you.
