Why this Blog?

A place where I can lament the changing times; for eccentric comments on current affairs and for unfashionable views, expressed I hope, in cogent style; also occasional cris de coeur largely concerned, I regret to say, with myself.

A Sympathiser

N.B. this article concerns smoking. Neither the author nor Blogger can possibly be held responsible for any consequences of your reading this article, be they good, bad or indifferent.

Joe Jackson. Source: here

I recall seeing Joe Jackson performing in London many years ago. He is an original talent, and by chance today I have discovered that his originality is manifested elsewhere too.

He describes himself as a moderate smoker (about 10 cigarettes per day) and he appears to be en colère with the vast amount of anti-smoking nannying going on these days. And it's not just the nannying: he has spent, he says, four years researching the topic and has produced an e-book entitled "Smoke, Lies and the Nanny State". It is downloadable and extremely interesting reading. Link

I shall be trying to add his tunes to my playlist here to demonstrate my support!

His smoking pages are here.

Until the next time
